Professional writing for authors who need polished copy to promote a book, communicate with readers, support a launch, prepare for appearances and events, and develop book-related materials.

Services are developed primarily from author-provided book information, excerpts, notes, publication details, and other source materials.

Ghostwriting of novels, memoirs, nonfiction books, or other full-length manuscripts is not offered.

Graphic design is not included in writing services and may be contracted separately through Shaw Creative Studio’s Author & Book Promotion Design Services.

BOOK REVIEW PACKAGES

The book must be provided by the client in an accessible print or digital format.

Clients should provide any preferred review length, intended audience, spoiler limitations, rating format, publication requirements, platform requirements, or other editorial guidelines before work begins.

Reviews intended for third-party retailer or reader-review platforms must comply with that platform’s current policies regarding paid, compensated, or disclosed reviews.

Review fees cover the professional reading, evaluation, and writing service and do not guarantee a positive review, favorable opinion, specific rating, endorsement, recommendation, publication, acceptance by a particular platform, or promotional outcome.

Revision requests may address wording, clarity, structure, or emphasis, but they cannot be used to require a more favorable opinion, higher rating, endorsement, or recommendation.

  • A concise professional review designed for placements where a shorter format is appropriate.

    Includes

    • Reading of the submitted book

    • One original editorial review of approximately 150–300 words

    • Concise discussion of the overall reading experience

    • Commentary on notable strengths, themes, writing, characters, structure, or reader appeal, as appropriate

    • Writing tailored to the intended audience, publication, or platform

    • Two revision rounds for wording, clarity, structure, or emphasis

    • Final copy-ready and editable document file
